Lansing Burrows papers, 1866-1882.

The collection consists of two volumes, a ministerial record book (1866-1882) and a scrapbook of undated clippings, of Lansing Burrows documenting his service as a Baptist clergyman in Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee. The record book contains a list (1866-1882) of sermons given by Burrows including the number, title, scripture reference, date, and location of delivery. The book also contains a list of marriages performed by Burrows (1867-1872) with the name, location, and date; a list of baptisms performed by Burrows with the name, date, and location; a list of exhortations (1869-1882); and a list of additions and dismissions (1868-1869) for the First Baptist Church (Lexington, Mo.).
